From London With Love, David Luiz Goes To Paris
David luiz's chelsea future has come under further scrutiny after a leading bookmaker slashed odds and suspended betting on him joining French champs PSG this summer. Luiz has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both interested in the Brazilian centre back. The Catalan club are looking to bolster their backline this summer after seeing veteran enforcer Carlos Puyol leave. Nou camp bosses were linked with trying to secure a deal which would see Alex Song join Chelsea, while Pep Guardiola has also been linked with trying to recruit the 27-year-old for Bayern Munich. But bookies Sky Bet have announced they have suspended betting on Luiz joining PSG after dramatically slashing the odds on the potential deal. The Blues are keen to see Luiz leave so they can focus on recruiting new targets, freeing up fresh transfer funds and easing the strain on the wage bill. (

David Luiz admits the time was right for him to leave Chelsea after confirming his switch to French champions Paris St-Germain. The two clubs struck a deal last week worth a reported £50million, and the Stamford Bridge favourite will embark on a new journey with the Ligue 1 outfit once his World Cup duties with Brazil are over. Speaking to L'Equipe, the former Benfica star admitted that although he immensely enjoyed his time in west London, the chance to link up with a number of fellow Brazilians including Thiago Silva and the lure of even more silverware was too good to refuse.
